What is the order of the planets from the Sun?

Our solar system is vast consisting of 8 planets all unique in there own way. In the past two decades, much has been discovered relating to each of the planets revealing their dynamic past and potential hidden secrets. Earth itself holds many wonders yet to be discovered, this is portrayed further exploring the possibility feats that are now theorised.

What is the order of the planets from our sun?

The slowly excepted heliocentric model express from scientists beginning with Copernicus and further support by Galileo, highlight the sun begin centre of the solar system. Project outwards is the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. 

An easy mnemonic to remember the planets in order: 

"My Very Easy Method: Just Sleep Until Noon"

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune

Some may ask, what about Pluto? Pluto is now classed as a dwarf planet. Including Pluto would mean including other dwarf planets such as Ceres that sits between Mars and Jupiter in the asteroid belt. Leading further through the solar system past Neptune is the Kepler belt where you would find dwarf planets like Pluto, Haumea, Makemake, and Eris. However, just because these planets are classified as dwarf planets does not mean that they hold no interest. New findings raise a lot of excitement towards these dwarf planets and also the moons orbiting the main planets.
